November Roses

I have recently been playing around with the macro setting on my digital camera. I have also been experimenting the last few months with different apertures and shutter speeds and have been pretty amazed at what you can do when you shoot manually. I went out into my front yard yesterday to see what I could create and was pretty excited to see the red rose above after I uploaded it to my computer. So now I am busily shooting everything in macro and having a lot of fun.

This was taken with a macro lens filter. Less expensive than a macro lens and gave great results I think.

I also realized how late it was in the season to still have roses. All of the leaves have fallen and still I have roses.

For a basic digital camera, I think it did a wonderful job.
